Daniel Sanacore – Board Member, Greater Morris County Chapter of the NFF

Meet Our Board Members

  • Webmaster

Daniel “Dan” Sanacore has proudly served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Morris County Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame since 2019. In addition to his role as Webmaster, he plays an active part in the Foundation’s year-round efforts to recognize and celebrate scholar-athletes from over three dozen districts in the Greater Morris County area.

Through annual fundraising and community support, the Foundation hosts a prestigious Scholar-Athlete Banquet, honoring student-athletes for their achievements in the classroom, on the field, and in their communities. The event also highlights influential adults in categories such as Distinguished Coach, Legend of the Game, Contributions to the Game, and Distinguished American.

A former scholar-athlete himself, Dan grew up in Bergenfield, New Jersey, and played football for the Bears from his elementary years through his senior year at Bergenfield High School. He was a three-year, three-season varsity athlete, served as team captain his senior year, earned NBIL All-League honors, and was awarded a scholarship by the National Football League Players' Association to support his undergraduate education. His early connection to the game — along with a strong desire to give back — continues to fuel his passion for supporting young athletes and their families.

In addition to his work with the Foundation, Dan is approaching twenty years of experience in education and leadership. He currently works as a Vice Principal at the Morris-Union Jointure Commission’s Developmental Learning Center in Warren, a school serving students with autism and autistic-like behaviors. He is also a professor in Ramapo College of New Jersey’s Teacher Education Department, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate-level coursework. Prior to these roles, he worked extensively as a three-sport coach and served as an Athletic Director, directly supporting student-athletes and athletic programs.

Dan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Health and Exercise Science from Rowan University, where he was a proud member and Chapter President of the Phi Kappa Sigma International Fraternity. He later completed a Master of Science in Educational Administration at the University of Scranton, followed by a Leadership Certificate program at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. He also holds a range of New Jersey educational credentials that reflect his experience in school leadership and instruction.

Deeply committed to service, Dan previously volunteered as a firefighter, graduating from the Passaic County Fire Academy, where he was honored to serve as President of his class. He currently coaches youth sports for his children and continues to look for ways to give back to his community. Dan lives in Ringwood, New Jersey, with his wife, Stephanie, and their two children — who he describes as “my why.” Whether through mentoring, coaching, or volunteering, he is driven by a lasting commitment to community and to the game that helped shape who he is today.
